After seeing the photo closely I noticed there's some awkwardness regarding the hands. And the head-Isn't the actor much taller than Mandana? He's 6' but his face is lower than Mandana's also her shoulder is slightly above his. Her dress is nice The hands are especially odd and Steven Hartley was taller in their scenes together (despite MJ wearing heeled boots). Also, look at the expression on his face! Most odd for a 'staged' wedding photo. Everything about him looks slightly squashed, if that makes sense, compared to his physique on camera I don't really remember seeing this scene. But Mandana's hair looks very nice here.

I've wondered about the bare bones content on her wiki page but assumed it was a desire for privacy on her part. If you are game coolbyrne then you have a ton of moral support from this corner. Hi aynejayde. I doubt Mandana even knows she has a wiki page, given her documented technophobia. I think there is a misconception that wiki pages are updated by agents etc. In reality ANYONE can add or delete info. In Mandana's case, whoever does it, doesn't put much effort in but I think others have resisted amending it for fear of stepping on toes . It just galls me that some fans feel the necessity to have to link the two from Mandana's perpective at every turn, despite their association being over 10 years ago. In the fandom, Simone seems to stand alone (check out her wiki that is updated by the same people) but Mandana has to be linked. If you read any 'biography' of Mandana anywhere on the web, she is described as being Simone's costar or, even more bizarre, mentioned as having 'training with BG costar Helen Grace'. As if that association somehow gives Mandana street cred. Someone reading Mandana's biography "who is she?"....."oh, of course, she's starred opposite Simone Lahbib and trained with Helen Grace. That's OK then. She's a credible actress" I'm not saying I want personal info listed. Just an accurate account of her performances in some chronological order and her training, with links to websites beyond just the one or two.....

I have long felt that Mandana Jones is a major talent but unfortunately, due to her lack of work, I don't think she will become a "star" as much as we would wish that for her. These are no longer her early years. For whatever reason she is not frequently enough in the public eye and remains unfamiliar to a potential worldwide fan base. I just hope that she gets a plum role in the near future that will prove to be another breakthrough for her. It's a puzzle that her career went virtually nowhere after Bad Girls. Please update the Wikipedia entry, Coolbyrne, she deserves a first class bio.

These are no longer her early years. I think cinematically speaking, this is true. To break into movies or even US tv, you now have to be some 20 year old stick insect. However, I am not convinced this is true for British tv. There are a number of excellent actresses who have only found lasting fame in their 40's, 50's and even 60's. They pottered about in their younger years but never gained much recognision. Sue Johnson, Liz Smith and Ann Reid - even Helen Mirren to a degree. It was Tennison that really gave her the stardom she has now.

We don't know what's in her future. ;D Ouch. Would you say that about a male actor. Mandana is only 43. Simone is 45 and playing somebody's girlfriend in an Irish TV series. Why the talk about aging for Mandana. The role in Casualty was that of someone in a position of authority so naturally they made her up as a middle-aged person.

In my opinion, we could be watching the early years of a true star. I believe Mandana Jones could be among the likes of Dame Eileen Atkins and Emma Thompson. I will support all efforts to spread the word about this very talented lady. Ditto.

I am ever hopeful that Mandana will have a successful career. I just want to see her acting in something better than these sort of snippet roles in soap operas and commercials. I just want to see her ACT - period. It doesn't matter if she is popular worldwide although selfishly I would like to be able to watch her on my side of the Atlantic. It is very fair to say that people like Eileen Atkins and Helen Mirren did become popular in their 40's, 50's and 60's. I just hope Mandana aims high and pursues the sort of challenging roles that made the careers of these great actresses.

i'd love to see her in a british soap on at least a 3yr contract not just in snippets like the bill.

I don't wish upon her huge commercial success, but I do wish for something a bit more than what she's had thus far. I think she's more talented than the roles she's getting/taking. Something that delves a bit more beneath the surface, you know? I wonder if we'll start to see a bit more of her now that her son is older. On the other hand, I never got the impression she was ever interested in acting as something more than a river to dip her toe in now and again. We'll see. Re: wikipedia- I think what I'd like to do is write up a rough draft and post it here, where you guys can take a look and see what you think. I'd rather do it as a collective effort, where we can all add/subtract/re-word before putting it on wikipedia. As for putting up a picture of her on the wikipedia page, I'll have to look into the copyright issue first.

In an interview before BadGirls she did say that now in her thirties she has no ideas of any dizzy stardom which quite surprised me. It is hard being a Mandana fan. ;D
