Yes, it's open again- the season is almost upon us! If you'd like to give it a go this season, please, feel free to join. There are no prizes (though I could always whip up a t-shirt for the winner), but it's just a nice way to keep track of the season and to get involved. Go here to join- fantasy.premierleague.com/The invitation code or whatever it's called is- 689409-158302 (Top and Roman, if you create a team, you'll automatically join the group.) If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. And don't be afraid to join, even if you don't know much about footie- we're in it to have fun! |

I thought it was a bit of fun last year... though really hard to try and keep the team line-up with just one player from each team!  We've got until the middle of the month, if we want to do that. If not, I can easily delete the second team. |

Yeah but, luckily for you, 2 of your first team didn't play so Milner will be swapped into your team anyway My second team have done better than my first. Are you two not doing a second team? I shall still do both just to see whether it's actually a better strategy. |

I shall still do both just to see whether it's actually a better strategy. We'll have our second teams in for next week- we totally forgot! We relaxed a bit on the rules about having only one player from a team, because it gets tricky trying to transfer players in and out (usually you have to wait until you have 2 free transfers). We figured having two players from one team is okay, but only one team. So you can't have 2 players from Tottenham and 2 players from City, etc. I noticed the Milner substitution! *whew!* And they subbed out N'Zogbia for me, and put in Givet, who got me 6 points I wasn't expecting... and it was the same amount of points I would have gotten if I had Bent in. Lucky! I'll start posting the points next week when we've got all our teams going. |

This isn't exactly related to our fantasy league, but it is about football, so I hope coolbyrne won't smack me for being mildly off-topic. I know this is a bit old, but I think everyone needs to see it. This is the best football song ever and by best, I mean most cringeworthy, of course. First, what the hell is a "championee?" Also, shouldn't you wait until after you've won the Cup before you call yourself the champions? Oh, to be a Villa fan. Must be embarrassing from time to time. No wonder Martin O'Neill left. |
