Hi Everyone You hear it first on MJFC...again. This has just been posted by BBC press office Casualty – The Inspection Saturday 6 November 8.40-9.30pm BBC ONE and BBC ONE HD www.bbc.co.uk/casualty Jordan puts his neck on the line while Ruth and Jay perform a risky job swap, as the medical drama continues.
Jordan tries to rally his troops as the day of the inspection arrives. But he is concerned when he recognises Charlotte, the inspector. Things look even worse when a multiple casualty incident pushes the Emergency Department to breaking point once again.
Jay is perturbed when his grandmother is admitted to the ED – he has led her to believe he's a doctor. Jay persuades a reluctant Ruth to do a job swap and pretend she's a nurse. The deception goes undetected until Jay is expected to perform a dangerous procedure. Will he go through with it in front of the inspector?
The day's events make Ruth realise that she still has feelings for Jay, but it may be too late when she sees him kissing Polly.
As things go from bad to worse, Jordan offers Charlotte his resignation in order to save the ED. But when a patient crashes in the department, and all the CT staff are tied up in operations, only he has the surgical skills to save him. Will Jordan operate when he's not cleared to do so, and can the team finally pull together to save their boss and the ED?
Jordan is played by Michael French, Ruth by Georgia Taylor, Jay by Ben Turner, Polly by Sophia di Martino and Charlotte by Mandana Jones.
The episode is entitled 'The Inspector' and Mandana is...the inspector! This is a reunion for Mandana with Michael French from Born and Bred. Finally, another new role. Only down side for me personally is I am away for the weekend Must make sure the I player is set!!!)

And that is why you're the MJFC archaeologist, topcat- though I suppose with new information, you're more of a sleuth! (RomanMachine just said, "More like the glue that holds the FC together!") We shall put our best people on it (for good or bad, that means RM and me ) and try to get some video/photos once the 6th shows up. By the sounds of it, this will be a much larger role than East Enders. Finally!

Apparently, her character name is Charlotte Thornhill.
I am assuming she will be a CQC (Care Quality Commission) inspector - which is all kinds of funny to me as my day job has connections to CQC.
I wonder whether this is a one episode appearance or whether it may be on going for a few? They have been banging on about the impending inspection for a number of weeks already.

Well, well, well! Who would have thought it, after all this time a sighting is to be had of that elusive person known as Mandana Jones. I imagined she had given up the noble art of acting for the delights of child rearing. Looking forward to seeing how she has weathered the first five years(?) of running round after Enzo, and it will be great to see her on the small screen once more. Muchas gracias, Topcat.

Muchas gracias, Topcat. My pleasure ;D Just to confirm, her character is definately Charlotte Thornhill but the episode is called 'Hands On' not 'The inspection'. Not sure why the Beeb called it that one week and changed it then next . It would appear to be just one ep because the synopsis for the episode on 13th Nov makes no mention of the inspection. Hopefully, there might be a brief clip available over the weekend. Eyes peeled everyone......

If someone will take pity on us North Americans who must rely on BBC Canada and BBC America and will upload the episode on You Tube...to quote Ms. Jones, "Thanks, thanks a lot!" We will definitely see what we can do. Both RM and I are North Americans, too, so we feel your pain! We try to dig out a feed of it somewhere and post it as soon as we can. I think we had The Bill appearance up fairly quickly, if I recall correctly, so hopefully, we'll be able to do something similar with Casualty.

Yes, it really is a pain not to be able to view these sneak peeks from across the pond. It would be great if everyone in the world could have access to the same television. I would be willing to pay for the service. I hope this role will be posted on You Tube and would be very grateful if you coolbyrne, and RM, can do something along those lines. Thank you in advance! Much thanks TC!!

So sorry. I feel like some nasty tease - posting something you can't see!
Fear not. I have emailed CB and RM a screen grab so you can at least see what she looks like for now.
What did occur to me from the clip is that we may be witnessing an idea of what her Helen Stewart might have been like (don't forget that HS was the part she originally auditioned for but was persuaded to play Nikki instead). She's very official, in a two piece suit, laying down the law to the head surgeon....

All credit for this screencap (and indeed, for a great deal of the FC's content) goes to Topcat. I can't tell you how excited I am to see Mandana in something new. My first thought when I saw this was that the woman never ages. Stick the Nikki Wade hairdo on this picture and you'd think the man in the foreground was Jim Fenner. My second thought was just a bit jealous. And, Top, I hope you're right and this is an opportunity for us to see what her Helen might have been like. Although, that makes me wonder if Simone would have ended up playing Nikki. Talk about "Does. Not. Compute."

Thank you so much for the screen grab! Have to say I'm not crazy about the 'helmet' hairdo but it will be great to see her act again! Thanks also for the You Tube link to Casualty.
