TC you're a star for finding this news. ;D The Bill, watch it every week. I hope it's a BIG part but whatever I'll be watching/taping/doing a dance of joy. Seriously though, this is good news and proof that she hasn't given up the day job. Wonder how long it will be before...?

You read it here first.....again! We need to change your name to "topclass"! But what about the sermon on the mount, dated June 23rd and July 18th respectively?: and (Note: "Privy" means "participating in the secret knowledge of something". Ergo, "aren't privy" means "we aren't participating in the secret knowledge of something," or "we haven't been told". Unless that's what the original comment meant; if that's the case, my apologies!) The good news is (beyond Mandana having some kind of work!) is- ended up being sooner rather than later! In fact, it ended up being less than a month after the "announcement" that she wasn't working at all! Awesome!

Fantastic news! If I'm understanding the CV correctly is the director for this series or series episode Diana Patrick and wasn't she the director of the final Bad Girls episode or am I mis-remembering? I think you deserve some kind of award for this, tc! Great research! My inevitable question is "Will it be possible for us MJ fans outside the UK, somehow/someway to see this performance?" Any guesses as to when it will air? Thanks again for your diligence tc!

We need to change your name to "topclass"! Honestly, it was pure luck. I am beginning to think, maybe, MJ has a wicked sense of humour I think you are right justafan. She is the director interviewed on the series 1 DVD's who directed the final two eps of series 3. She regularly directs Casualty and The Bill these days. Can't find anything. Given that gingercat and es are regular viewers, I think we can rest assured that her episodes haven't aired as yet. Not sure how far in advance The Bill films. I guess eagle eyes will be needed for scouring The Radio Times.

Rest assured, both gingercat and I will have our beady eyes on everything "Bill-wise". Any clue how far in advance the episodes are filmed? I see on The Bill's official website that they do post previews onto youtube. There is some form of special that was filmed in Germany and will be televised in November. Not sure if that time difference is usual or whether it was just because of that being an unusual collaboration with a German programme. Interestingly, Claire Goose (Waking the Dead) is already to be seen in televised episodes and yet CAM don't have it listed in her CV! Let's hope the info on Mandana's CV is not some form of error....

You can usually tell by looking closely at the background and sometimes trees are in full leaf and it's Autumn, or it's the middle of winter and the leaves are changing colour. If a new "major" character is about to arrive they often let the cat out of the bag a few weeks beforehand on Teletext. [ Interestingly, Claire Goose (Waking the Dead) is already to be seen in televised episodes and yet CAM don't have it listed in her CV! Let's just hope they haven't updated CG's CV. Although, hers is a major role so...

Sorry es, I didn't mean they'd mixed Claire and Mandana up. I don't think Claire Goose's character is called Nancy Randall. I just meant that CAM are very hit and miss with the accuracy of their clients CV's.

I just meant that CAM are very hit and miss with the accuracy of their clients CV's. Just popped in to say Claire Goose's character is called Rachel Weston so I doubt there's a mistake. Seems strange her CV's out-of-date, so to speak, and Mandana's has her character listed and yet she hasn't appeared. The more I think about it the more I'm inclined to think it could be an "guest lead" although I'm surprised it would already be CV-d in that case. Hope I'm wrong and it's a more permanent part. Only time will tell!

It would also appear that Mandana has shrunk. Maybe that explains the lengthy lay off. She's gone in search of her missing inch If you do a google search "mandana jones""cam" but click the cached link it gives you her page from a few weeks ago. Says she's 5' 10" This is CAM in Aug 08 www.cam.co.uk/actresses/mandana-jones/At this rate, she may only be 5' 4" by the time Christmas arrives...

Though I have little faith in the accuracy of CAM, perhaps it's a clever ruse to make casting directors think she's shorter and thus more "pairable" with a not-6'-tall male lead?
