Many moons ago when BG was on air and info on Mandana was nearly as rare as it today as you can imagine, all sorts of idiots came onto messageboards with all manner of 'sightings' and made up stories. One such story that was completely and utterly ignored, ridiculed, the poster accused of making it up - I even think it may have been the poster's one and only post so, no credibility - was one about Mandana, apparently, appearing on a cookery programme . The poster claimed that they had been watching a late night cable channel and Mandana had been the guest. No one could find any reference to this. No one else saw it. The poster disappeared as quickly as they had arrived. Look what I have found! www.itnsource.com/shotlist//ITVProgs/1997/01/01/CAR08690004/It would seem that poster is owed a cyber apology. The programme was made by Carlton - who made London Bridge - and this was 1997 when MJ was still playing Sam Haynes. What the poster saw must have been a repeat . Apparently, the programme gave viewers a glimpse into the kitchens of celebrities. Do you think she cooked turnip porridge???

Hi Gingercat. Happy New Year! No I haven't accessed it. I think it's for purchase. They also have 121 London Bridge episodes It's interesting to read some of the storylines. Mandana's character seems to feature a lot and is described as 'over competent'. One synopsis read something like "Sam and Ravi quarrel about his 'underperformance' the night before"

I wonder how fast she cooked since the running time for the cooking show is only one minute!

I wonder how fast she cooked since the running time for the cooking show is only one minute! Yes, I noticed it said running time was 1 min, although the programme length is 30 mins. It does say it's a clips request site, to be fair, and so I am guessing that it is like a 'coming up in this episode' advert . Having said that, the London Bridge 'clips' are listed as being 24 minutes in lenghth which, without advert breaks, would be the length of a whole episode. Blimey! I saw prices of £5 for 5 clips or downloads. That must be on top of the registration fee then. I've done a bit of googling and can't find too much else about this programme All I found was a couple of German sites where it mentioned other guests including Ian Lavender (Private Pike in Dads Army) and Cheryl Baker (singer with 80's pop band Bucks Fizz). It's such a shame. It would be a fascinating watch - Mandana cooking food in her own kitchen, together with 30 minutes of chat (I'm guessing based on other similar type programmes).

The other thing is, even though they list all those clips, they don't necessarily have them available for download from their site. I put it in my basket just to see what would happen/if I could buy it separately, and was told I needed to contact someone about obtaining the clip through other means. I did that last night, and was told I needed to contact the company they represent directly. So I'm in the process of doing that right now.

Last week, I contacted someone at ITN about getting this clip, and was redirected to someone at ITV who got back to me the other day. Here is what I got: Thanks for your enquiry and apologies for the delay in replying.
It should be possible to produce and supply a one-off DVD copy of this programme for private & personal use for a charge of £95.00.
If you’d like to go ahead please mail me your full postal address and I’ll then send you a Licence Agreement form to sign.

ITV plc£95?? Wow. We need to put a PayPal button on the site or something! Suffice to say, we'll have to find another way to get this clip.

What a shame £95 is an awful lot of money for a programme that has been mothballed for over 10 years and doesn't appear to stand any chance of even being shown on an obscure cable channel. I'm assuming it's £95 for the whole 30 minute show and not just for a 1 minute clip???
