I love this show while recognizing that deep water really does scare the living shit out of me! What we don't know about rivers and lakes (let alone oceans and seas) reminds me how small we are, and that nature has the ability to take over at the slightest human error. For those who don't know about this show, biologist Jeremy Wade goes around the world (but mostly South America) to find the source of local legends and myths involving fish. Going beyond a regular angling show, it is also informative and heart-stopping at times. When he sits in a pool of piranha to disprove the myth of the fish made me catch my breath, and the sheer size of the fish he catches is amazing! Check it out: River MonstersWaiting for Jeremy Wade to get together with Robson Green for Extreme River Monsters or something.
