Just seen your news regarding the 1999 short film Mandana shot with Bond himself, Daniel Craig!
Firstly, congrats on having yet another piece of info not mentioned elsewhere.
This means that Mandana must have filmed this around the time the first series of BG was filmed.
Can't think of where this might have been shown, other than as a short before a main film feature. Let's hope that someone out there can track this down. There seems to be a few reviews out there and one site also had a photo but it was not of Mandana.

Ah, top, if you only knew how much of a James Bond geek I am, you'd know how much your subject line warmed my heart! I have to admit, I stumbled upon this info very accidentally- I was double-checking links on the Gordon Ramsay site RM and I occasionally run, and plugged in Mandana's name more for a laugh than anything. Lo, it came up and had her listed for 112 productions. Unfortunately, 109 of them were for Bad Girls and London Bridge, but out of the 3 remaining, something called "Occasional, Strong" was listed. Checked out imdb.com and it was there, too. (Though with a different release date of 2002.) So the quest began! It really is a shot in the dark, I know, but hey, might as well try, no?

Ah, top, if you only knew how much of a James Bond geek I am, you'd know how much your subject line warmed my heart! Me too! Goldfinger is a particular favourite and that is definately my fav line ;D I noticed that a couple of sources have it listed as 2002 but as it was listed as being shown on channel 4 (Brit TV) in 2000 and 2001, I reckon the 1999 date is probably the most accurate. My immediate reaction was that it, sort of, makes sense of Mandana's comment about Daniel Craig in her last interview. He's now seen as this huge acting star but she worked with him when he was just doing 12 minute shorts.

That's exactly what I thought as well, top. I found it interesting that in her AfterEllen interview regarding (non-)archetypal British actors, the first name that seemed to come to mind was Daniel Craig. LOL! I wonder if it was because of all the Bond hype at the time that his was the most immediate name to come to her, or if she's looked at how his career went from these bits that paid the rent to this huge, recognizable, no more secrets, role? What I find interesting about that particular name dropping is that he really was more of an archetypal actor before Bond. To me, he was one of those sturdy reliable actors who were in a movie to support the overblown presence of "the star". And he took on all sorts of roles, covering a wide swath of genres. It was his decision to accept the role of Bond that seems to have wiped all that history out, at least for the casual movie goer- to them, he will forever be Bond.
I'm very interested in seeing this short film, if only to see if she had any screen time with him, and if so, how that played out.
Found the information- let's just hope we can now find the film! LOL!

What I find interesting about that particular name dropping is that he really was more of an archetypal actor before Bond. That was exactly what I thought when I saw the comment too! I remember him in 'Our Friends in the North' an excellent drama who's unknown leads have all gone on to have good careers - Chris Ecclestone, Mark Strong and Gina McGee. But you are right in that, when that interview came out, Mr Craig was all over the papers and TV with Casino Royale imminent. Me too. Maybe she just didn't like his aftershave Perhaps it's another gem that was on that tape that was nearly thrown out.......
