Yikes, I missed it. Will have to see if it's on catch up. After finding these clips, I ended up watching a number of youtube bits about them both that I have never seen. I really enjoyed the "Intimate Portrait" of Sharon. Think it's about 5 years old because it didn't mention "State Within". They really were a brilliant screen pairing and I had a trip down memory lane watching a few clips. One of my favourites episodes was one of the very early ones where they fell out about whether they saw someone with a gun in an alley.

I think the purest screen chemistry I've ever seen- and by that I mean, right from the start and right to the end, in every single scene they had, no matter the content or the dialogue, they were electric- was between Claudia Black and Ben Browder of Farscape. I looked for a suitable clip that would make sense to anyone who hasn't seen Farscape (because there is a lot going on!), but had to settle for this one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHFt958CCkIIt's the death of John Crichton. (Well, not really, but it's one of those things where a lot's going on. ) It's unfortunate that I couldn't find the entire scene, because two things are missing here- one is the fantastic dialogue before this clip starts and the second is the inexplicable edit of the line he says just before he dies. To me, that made the scene. Anyway, here's the transcript of the scene in its entirety: Aeryn: I'm very angry. John: Me too. Aeryn: We had good times. John: I wouldn't change it for the world. You made me... a better person. Aeryn: That wasn't hard... I love you, so much. John: I love you. Aeryn: I would have gone to Earth. John: I'm sorry you never got to meet my dad - my real dad, I mean. Sorry I never met your dad. I'm sorry about a lot of things. Aeryn: No. Don't be, I don't want you to go like that. John: I won't. ...Huh. Aeryn: What? John: They say it's a lucky or an unambitious man who goes when he's ready. That said... Scorpius is gone. I'm at peace. I don't... hurt. I... I did some good things. I'm proud of my life. And I'm with you. ...Don't worry about me. I've never felt better.

I've never seen Farscape, CB, but that certainly was a tearjerker! It's nearly as tear jerky as the. best. tearjerker. ending. EVER.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBEf5cOOr_8Not to mention the best film song ever, sung by the best singer ever. Pass the tissues.....

Ahhh... Robert. As for Farscape, you know, I wanted to post other clips, because I think the chemistry goes beyond the drama of the moment (I think a lot of actors have "chemistry" when the scene is something as dramatic as a death scene), but as I said, there's usually so much going on underneath that for non-'Scape fans, it'd be a lot of, "Huh?" Death scenes are probably the standard for showing chemistry, but I think Claudia Black and Ben Browder have it in spades. I can't recommend watching Farscape more, really. The only drawback is, it really MUST be watched from the very beginning. There are very few episodes where you can be dropped in and "get" it.

Not actors as such but I have really enjoyed the BBC series 'Supersizers Go.....' and the chemistry between Giles Coren and Sue Perkins has really made the series. Not a chemistry you would expect but it was there in bucket loads. The premis of the programme is that they revisit different eras and experience the food of the day. There is a lot of fooling around in period costumes but it was hilarious and a little gem tucked away on BBC 2. Sue Perkins does sound uncannily like Ms Jones vocally. I have to admit to finding Giles Coren rather lovely, especially in a night shirt.....

I love Farscape and I agree that the chemistry between Ben Browder and Claudia Black was magnificent. That chemistry even carried over to Stargate: SG-1 even though they weren't a "couple" in Stargate.

I thought Inspector Morse and his assistant Lewis had a believable screen chemistry. Both polar opposites but got on well professionally, eventhough sometimes Morse could be a little short with him.
Morse being an Oxford man he was a bit impatient with Lewis's less than perfect English grammar or his colloquialism. Though later on Lewis would correct Morse. ;D
Speaking of which I just watched a new episode of Inspector Lewis this evening. There was an hotel scene and it looked kinda familiar. It was the inside of the Larkhall prison. The walls, the doors of the cell and the railings were all painted white. The floors were covered with red carpets and lots flower vases everywhere to make it look nice. Strange.

Not that I'm interested in staying in a prison turned hotel. Speaking of screen chemistry. Some years back I remember seeing a 2-hr TV mystery movie 'The Ice House'. James Bond Daniel Craig was the lead. He played a Detective Inspector(?) who was investigating some crime in the village. There was tremendous sexual chemistry between him and one of the suspects. There was lot of biting and sarcastic convo between the two of them. You could almost sense the sizzle. She was quite a looker too. Kitty Aldridge her name was I think. I haven't seen or heard of her since. I wish BBC would rebroadcast it. I would love to see it again.

Sharon & Tyne are on with Paul O Grady tonight... Hey, ginger, guess who the rumour is to be playing Bodybag in the American BG??? In all fairness, if Tyne Daly does play Bodybag, it may be one casting choice that I think is inspired. If Ms Gless is cast as Monica or Barbara, I might have to eat all my words and watch the blasted thing
