Shell Dockhly the face of BadGirls. Wonderfully farcical. Don't get me wrong, jilly, I did enjoy the character of Shell Dockley for the first 2 series of BG until she was turned into a karaoke/tapdancing caricature later on. That was not the fault of the actress but that of the writers/directors - No doubt the one man Shed fan club would disagree . What annoyed me at the time, and still does, is the fact that those two actresses were perceived by the British media to be the stars of the programme at the expense of everyone else for no other reason than one could do impersonations and the other had been in a soap. I could understand it a bit more with Debra because the media do love a 'baddie'. The programme was very much an ensemble piece but that was not reflected in print.

What I meant was that the new generation who saw the 4th episode of Drama Trails probably came away with the impression that Debra was the star of BG. As both MJ and SL were not mentioned and their roles downplayed. The Shed brand didn't enhance itself by this.<shrug> Anyway it's their look-out.

The Shed brand didn't enhance itself by this.<shrug> Anyway it's their look-out. Talking of Shed, I was rather amused by this comment from a recent interview with Scottish actor John Hannah "To be honest, I haven't read one script I like – all the TV I get sent is f****** rubbish. Pathetic! There's a big thing going up to Scotland, being made by Shed who made Footballers' Wives. It's a cross between Widows and Two Thousand Acres of Sky, with couthy Scots and Cockney gangsters' wives. We've had Whisky Galore, can we not move on and do something intelligent? I'll bet Michelle Collins is in it."

Just look at the post BG(Se1,2&3) TV shows from them and that should give him some pause. With his frank opinion of Shed he's gone up in my estimation even for a Scot.
