... to bring you this special news announcement! * There has been much discussion and speculation about Mandana's current employment situation, and we at MJFC would like to set the record straight, with some direct information and a refreshing lack of implied self-importance. However, while there are a number of reasons for Mandana taking this time out, unfortunately we aren't privy to give those reasons out. We would if we could, of course, but when we spoke to Mandana "recently", she revealed a personal secret to us (I know! We're only fans but we're like totally friends with her!) on the sworn vow that we wouldn't tell you little nobodies anyone. (*If you've lost your sense of humour, check behind the couch- that's where we found Jesus. )

Oh Dear Lord.
"information we are not privy to give out". Dies laughing. 'privy to' means 'aware of'. What is really meant is 'information they are not privy to either.
Let's look at this another way. Say you run a website for an artist and, whilst the site is not 'official', you have built a trusting relationship with said performer to the point where they would divulge quite personal information to you and a friendship has emerged. The performer tells you that they cannot work for a while because e.g. they are ill or have a sick relative that they need to care for. On top of small pre school children to parent, working just is not an option. They ask for an annoucement to be made on the website so that fans know there is no work imminent but don't want the world to know that they have personal problems to deal with.
Do you
a) make an annoucement as succinct as possible that causes no gossip, conjecture, rumour within the fanbase - thereby protecting the artist and proving their trust in you is justified i.e. 'Joe Bloggs has informed us that they will be taking a break from their career whilst their children are small'. At no point alluding to other issues.
or
b) make contradictory announcements that are thick with sub text and double speak and mixed messages, hinting that there is something far more mysterious going off and, above all, take every opportunity to use the artist's circumstances to bolster your own ego within the fandom.
I think we all know which option would be taken if you really respected the person and had a relationship beyond 'fan'. True friends would not use option b. A true friend would cover your back. They would not try to live off your friendship by constantly attempting to score brownie points from the association at every turn and positively encouraging questions and suspicion with every post.

We here fans of Mandana love Lampoonery. Can we have more please. ;D BTW why does a fan need Splodgy's permission to send fanmail to MJ? Even if they like to give the impression they do not have an official relation to Mandana. Also they do not own N/H. They are using(exploiting?) the characters Nikki and Helen without the express permission of Shed. I hope fans are aware of that before giving Splodgy any credit or their cash.
