I know, it seems as if footie just ended, but I checked the Barclays Premier League site and was surprised to see registration for the 2009-2010 season is open. Once again, MandanaFC is hosting a league, and this year, we expect you all to join!  Still no word on what we might come up with for the winner, in order to bribe encourage people to join (as we don't have any photocopied signed photos  ), but we'll try to come up with something. It's dead easy to join; just go to the url listed above, and register. Once you've done that, you click on "Leagues" on the left hand side, and "Create/Join". Then enter the code below: 302767-73798 That should be all you need to do! (If not, let me know and I'll see if I can help.) Even if you don't really follow soccer, why not think about joining in? The rules are simple and once you pick your team, the game does all the work for you. If you have any questions, just ask!  Just like last year, I am Dante's Infernos. |

Added a new angle today- RomanMachine and I were talking last year about how to make the game a bit more challenging ('cuz really, it ends up with everyone picking the same 8 out of 11 players! ). So, here's our extra wrinkle- beyond our "first" team, we've also each picked a team with the following limitations: the team cannot have any player from the "big 4" and it can only have one player from each team. With 16 teams left out of the big 4, you get one player from every team except one. We've added these teams to the MandanaFC league, but only to keep everything together. Those teams won't count in the overall standings against other teams. We suspect our second teams will do better than our first! |

Like the idea of the second team without players from top 4 teams and only 1 player per club. Will make it interesting. I've set up a first team too. Would be nice if others joined in this year. Come on gingercat - you more than anyone must be keen BTW I could only see one second team for CB not RM. |

This is a friendly reminder that you have a day and a half to join the MandanaFC league. C'mon- even if you're not a big soccer fan, it's dead easy! See the first post for all the info.
