Figures, doesn't it? We do all the work and get none of the credit. That's one of the drawbacks of posting the videos to public websites. It's very easy to take them. And really screw them up. A 123 mb .avi file? Really?? That's gonna be a chore for dialup users. And, why did you ruin the aspect ratio? You (or whomever) took a video that was 640x360 and 16:9 and turned it into a 4:3, which, for everyone who isn't a geek, means that the video is really squished and really small and twice as large as it was. Sorry, but that's beyond me. I hope your ftp users have their glasses handy. Congratulations, Molsongrrl! You get to be the Big Fan today. Hang around the FC for a while 'cause I'm sure we'll have more things you can steal to keep your reputation going. ;D

Just thought I'd bump this up, on the off-chance new lurkers wander on by. After a quick peruse of the web, it seems any information of this short film has yet to be added to any other Mandana Jones fan site, and it's such a surprising little find that unless you practically stumble upon it, it might be missed. So for those who have yet to see it, check it out.

Okay, so MJ.net has finally put a clip of "Occasional, Strong" on their website- buried waaaaay over on The Fans/Downloads page, right at the very bottom. No mention on the home page, and naturally, no credit given to anyone. But whatever... my question is, has anyone actually downloaded this clip? I ask because I did so the other night to mock the quality but was only able to get an audio file to open. Anyone else?

This post is not about Occasional Strong but I didn't want to start a new thread as we did actually discuss Random Quest within this existing thread (page 2). No, I haven't found the MJ missing footage but I stumbled across a synopsis from the book it was based on. Apparently, the Sam West character 'sees' his ex wife (Mandana's character) in the parallel universe he finds himself in. She's married to someone else and doesn't know him. Also, in his 'real' world, they were happily married but she died - another reason why he is stunned to see her. So, if we ever find the missing footage, her appearance is likely to be in the middle section - the parallel word not real world. This makes sense because, when he awakes from his parallel world, he tells his friend 'Della was there' (this line remains in the version shown) Also, talking of missing footage, I notice that the Hallmark version of Coming Up for Air also has a number of Mandana moments cut compared to the BBC version. I'm guessing it was trimmed to accomodate adverts but it's a shame because they are those kind of moments she specialises in - looks without words. The ending has been chopped noticeably. The imagery of the seagull flying above the boat has been lost and her helping the boy with his fishing rod gets cut. In an earlier scene where 'Jonathon' goes back home and Sarah reads to his children, he has a scene with his mother about her wrinkles and Sarah returns to say the children are in bed. Mother says she'll 'make up the spare bed'. There should be a shared look of amusement between Sarah and Tom but that has gone. There a other bits missing too.

Re: Coming Up For Air
It's too bad about the cuts, because she doesn't have a lot to work with in the first place, and as you say, top, what she does have is pretty key to the development of not only the story, but the character of Tom as well.

Four years since we found this!! In light of the massive success of Skyfall, I thought it would be fitting to turn over some old ground and leave the link to Occasional, Strong, the short starring Daniel Craig, with an appearance by our very own Mandana Jones. Now, she doesn't appear in any scenes with him, but it's still worth a look! (If you click on the little movie box at the bottom right corner, you can maximize it to watch it right from that page.)
