Gawd only knows, she can't need the money. Did anyone watch "The Commander" this week? First ep, the crowd scene outside the murdered victim's house. Was MJ in the crowd in that scene? I haven't had time to look at it again, (we taped it cos it clashed with Spooks )

Gawd only knows, she can't need the money. It's completely bizarre. Her career does not need a revival. She must make a few bob commentating. If not, I'm sure she could coach. I can only assume she has a deep desire to eat bugs and get covered in slime Do you think her and Esther Rantzen will be mother hens or at each other's throats?? We have recorded all three parts and not watched it yet. Can't imagine MJ being an extra. However, I am sure we will all have a close look ;D Would add rolling laugh emotion icon if I knew how! I see The Bill website has been revamped. Unfortunately, the 'future episodes' section is blank To be honest, I found the first part of the German special rather dull.

I also intended to mention that the episodes are filmed 3 months in advance of showing, according to the paper I was reading in the hairdresser's yesterday. So, possibly this month or next.

I was wondering of it becoz the timing of CAM posting on their website about Mandana's new role in The Bill was around the same time as the airing the last ep of Diana Patrick's. Also don't they(CAM) usually post about any roles after the fact? Anyway just thought I'd bring it to your attention. But as you say DP is a regular on The Bill and MJ's eps will be probably shown soon. Assuming Mandana started filming after CAM posted about her role. It wouldn't be so confusing if CAM would atleast post the episode nos.

Yes, CAM's update to Mandana's cv was around the time those Diane Patrick episodes aired but she was definately not listed in the cast. It was the following week, I think, and I checked the tv listings. Who knows what CAM do! Mandana's cv was updated and those eps have not yet appeared. Claire Goose plays a major character and has been for about 6 months and CAM still have no mention of the role on her cv I just don't think we can accept CAM info as either accurate or up to date. No doubt the office junior updates it when they don't have any tea to brew.

Not Bill related but couldn't see a specific thread and it's not really worth starting one. Actually caught Random Quest last night. We'd been out and I was just chanel flicking when I got into bed and up popped RQ. I had missed the first 20 minutes.
The main character had just turned up in his parallel universe. Anyway, it was a really good drama. The Sam West character did mention Della towards the end. He said to his best friend "you were there and so was Della" (as in 'there' in the parallel universe). This suggests Mandana must have had 2 scenes cut - one in each universe. Unfortunately, there was no sign of her. No mention in the credits either. They must have decided to cut the character completely to fit the time slot.
Still no Bill news. Maybe we could start listing all our ailments ad nauseum to pass the time.......

So it could mean that film part is stiil there to see. If only there was a DVD made of the TV movie one could find out what her role was.

Too Hot To Handle
DC Stevie Moss (Lucy Speed), anxious to get DCI Jack Meadows (Simon Rouse) onside to investigate Rob Towler (Bill Ward), tells him and DS Stuart Turner (Doug Rao) that she previously spent eight months undercover with Rob, trying to crack his big time heroin deals. When Rob was eventually sent to prison for ten years, most of his sentence was for slashing sixteen-year-old Sophie Randall (Aisling Loftus) across the face.
Stevie soon discovers Rob has been released seven years early as Sophie’s mother, Nancy (Mandana Jones) - an eye-witness to the attack - has retracted her statement and Trainee D.C. Will Fletcher (Gary Lucy) is tasked with finding out more. After much persuading from Stuart, Stevie finally agrees to go undercover but is annoyed when her old DS Jim Rutherford (Michael Hodgson), turns up. After changing into protective leathers, Stevie jumps onto a motorbike and practically runs Rob down in order to get his attention, but he is clearly delighted to see her again.
Later that day, Stevie and Rob meet in a pub to talk about old times, while Stuart and Jim wait outside. When Rob’s violent associate, Gordon McCardle (Michael Nardone) joins Rob at the table, disturbing the growing intimacy between Rob and Stevie, a worried Stuart follows and is shocked to see McCardle threaten Stevie. Rob warns him off and tells Stevie to meet him later so they can talk properly.
At Rob’s flat, Stevie tries to get Rob to discuss a drug deal happening later that day while Rob attempts to get her into the bedroom. Stevie begs Rob not to meet McCardle or go through with the deal but Rob assures her everything will be fine and seals the promise with a passionate kiss, which a stunned Stuart witnesses.
Elsewhere, Will tracks Sophie down to the garden centre she works at and finally gets her to open up about the attack. However, he is confused when he shows her a picture of Rob and McCardle and she identifies McCardle as her attacker. She explains she doesn’t know anything about drugs or drug dealers – McCardle attacked her simply because he could. Her mother didn’t witness the attack but McCardle forced her into retracting her statement to get Rob out of prison.
A conflicted Stevie heads back to the station and is angry when she is told she won’t be present when Rob and McCardle meet for the drug deal. Later, Sun Hill officers become restless when waiting for the drugs bust and certain that something has happened to Rob, Stevie heads to his flat where she finds McCardle, who lets slip that the deal has moved places. Guessing that McCardle, now suspicious that Stevie is a cop, is planning a hit, she is forced to take action and knocks him out before tying him up. Stevie calls Stuart, giving him the change of location and tells him she’s worried for Rob’s safety.
As the officers lie in wait at the new location, Stevie jumps onto her bike and tries to call Rob, wanting to warn him of the danger ahead. The team arrive at the new location where they find Rob on his knees, with a gun to his head and surrounded by drug dealers. CO19 move in and as bullets start to fly in all directions, Stevie screeches to a halt on her bike in front of Rob and pulls him on before driving away, leaving a stunned Stuart behind.
At last a date. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Very interesting scenario. I wonder if she'll be in trouble for retracting.

Hey Gingercat. Thanks for the info. And thanks to MJFC for giving Mandana fans a place to post the most up-to-date info.
Am I alone in being a little disappointed, reading the synopsis? Does anyone else think that it sounds like 'blink and we'll miss her' scenes? I'm predicting a scene where she's asked about retracting her statement and then one more about the fact that she never witnessed the attack in the first place! I guess there may be scenes with the daughter and this might only be just the details of the one episode with loads more in the second.
I know I am jumping to conclusions but the write up seems packed with action revolving around the Bill Ward character rather than the daughter and mother.

From reading the synopsis it doesn't appear to be a massive part for Mandana. I must admit to having that feeling all along. The Bill does figure mainly around the goings-on of the characters in the station. But, owt's better than nowt, and I hope I'm wrong and she figures quite prominently in the story. At least she's getting her face out there again, which is something to about. It'll give us something Mandana-new to chat about. BTW, tc, I've done it, at last - avatar!
