There is a whole news announcement on The Bill website from back in September when they mentioned Bill Ward being in the Christmas storyline. It says he's in 4 eps. Mandana is supposed to be in 2 episodes. Let's hope this is just a brief summary of all four episodes and that her storyline is not as minor as the synopsis suggests.
Mandana seems to cross paths with Mr Ward on a regular basis. He was her brother in Holby and was nominated as soap villain the same year she was!
I like it es!

Hey! The chocolate crown (sorry, we don't have anything else ) goes to gingercat for the find! So we're thinking the two dates are Dec. 18th and 19th? And I have to agree with you, top- based on the synopsis, it doesn't sound like much of a role in terms of screentime. That being said, I'm ready to see her in just about anything, you know?!

So we're thinking the two dates are Dec. 18th and 19th? The Bill is normally on a Wednesday and Thursday and 18th is a Thursday. I have found the synopisis for Wed 17th and that is called 'Santa's little helper' and Bill Ward is only mentioned at the end. He is spotted when the officer is investigating something else. I doubt Mandana's character will appear in this one. That means, either, she's only in one episode not two or she will be in the Christmas Eve ep (if there is one) and there isn't a synopisis for that yet. I guess it could be that there are implications of her retracting her statement and the wrong man being convicted etc etc. That might be what her second appearance is about as they tie up loose ends. Like you, cb, I am just looking forward to seeing her - full stop! Having just seen a clip of the actress playing her daughter, I can understand the casting. One was clearly cast for the resemblance to the other.

The spoiler site has now amended the 18th episode to say 'too hot to handle part 1' suggesting that there must be a part 2 ;D

From reading the synopsis it doesn't appear to be a massive part for Mandana. But, owt's better than nowt. At least she's getting her face out there again, which is something to about. Yeah and I hope when the camera pans in on Mandana during the scenes it stays longer than 5 seconds each time unlike the Eastenders' episodes. I found it quite frustrating in both scenes the couple was featured more than her.

Synopsis for the next episode to be screened, apparently, on Monday 22nd Dec at 9pm After the failed drugs bust, ending with DC Stevie Moss (Lucy Speed) riding away with Rob Towler (Bill Ward) on the back of a motorbike, DS Stuart Turner (Doug Rao) and DS Jim Rutherford (Michael Hodgson) both express fears for Stevie’s safety. Whilst talking to Rutherford, Stuart is shocked when he is told Stevie fell for Rob in a big way romantically when she was previously undercover. On Christmas morning, after working through the night, Stuart and Rutherford are given the name of a passport forger, Trevor Sinclair (Simon Lawson), who is known to Rob. Bursting into his flat, they find an incomplete passport for Stevie and a badly beaten Trevor in a bath. When he eventually regains consciousness, Trevor confesses to being beaten by the notorious Manchester Tameside Crew, led by a thug called Malkie (Trevor Dwyer-Lynch), who won’t stop until Rob is dead. Later, Stuart heads to a storage unit, armed with evidence that Stevie and Rob will be there. Rob, confused by the turn of events, points a gun at Stuart and demands to know who he is. Stevie blows Rob’s world apart when she finally admits that she’s a police officer but says she loves him. Slowly taking the gun from a stunned Rob, she points it at Stuart and tells him to get out of the way – she’s sticking with Rob. The disbelieving sergeant attempts to call the station, but is pistol whipped to the floor by Stevie. After recovering, Stuart heads back to the station and is greeted by a furious DI Neil Manson (Andrew Lancel) who tells Stuart he’s too close to the case and Rutherford is put in charge. However, when Stuart later discovers Rob’s adoptive father, Alan Puttnam (Eamon Boland) lives in the area, he heads out again on his own. As he reaches the address, he hears gunshots ring out and watches Malkie and his henchmen shoot at Stevie and Rob who screech off at top speed in a car while Alan collapses from a gun shot wound. After the incident, Stuart is suspended from his duties and completely demoralised, heads home. Just as he is about to settle in for the night, the doorbell rings. It’s Stevie and she desperately needs his help. No mention of the Randalls but no full cast list

Am I alone in being a little disappointed, reading the synopsis? Does anyone else think that it sounds like 'blink and we'll miss her' scenes? Since we're seeing her after months of patient waiting I do not want to be disappointed even tho it's a small part. So I hope it'll not be 'blink and we'll miss her' but instead blink and she's still there. ;D And please let her have some snazzy witty lines to say esp when she tries to wriggle out of her sticky situation regarding the retraction thingy. And also please let her not be dressed in any shade of green unlike EE and Doctors(fortune teller). Can anyone predict her lines and her clothing?

Can anyone predict her lines and her clothing? Ah yes jilly. I can help with this. I've been told that Mandana will have brown hair. She will be mainly wearing clothes. One scene will consist of discussing retracting her statement. I understand from my source that she may have a scene with her daughter and another scene where she admits to not witnessing the attack. Obviously, this is subject to change as a number of scenes were filmed but this is the most likely

Have I ever said we have the best people on this board?? No, really, this is what fandom should be about- a group of people participating together, rather than it being an hierarchy with dictations and restrictions and "information" being trickled down from the top. This is a great scoop and a great find for us- and by "us" I mean "fans". It seems like it's been ages since we've seen her, hasn't it? We're so Mandana-starved! ;D
