Much as it pains me to say this, I think ManUre will win the league. I'm not sure about the Champions' league, though. Much will depend on Chelski and their ability to overcome Barça. I'd love Ars-en-al to beat MU tomorrow but... Some of us aren't "glory hunters" e.g. TC being a Rams supporter. I'm a Tykes follower and am absolutely "over the moon" that we beat Plymouth yesterday to, once again, hang on to our Championship status. ;D Who do you think will be relegated? I'll go for WBA, Boro & Hull, much as it upsets me to say so. I don't think we have any glory hunters here, do we? Congrats on staying in the Championship. How about our boy Hammill? It's a little bizarre for me to look at the table. Feel a bit sorry for Norwich going down and Charlton were doing well in the Premier League not so long ago. I bet they're wondering just why they wanted Curbishley out now. Honestly, I can't see the bottom three changing from what they are at the moment. I'd like to see Newcastle stay up, unless something changes, I don't know where the mettle to do that will come from. They've looked awful in their last two matches.

(I liked the logo. ) We didn't devote a lot of time to our newfound support, however, but I'd like to give it a go next year. As RM has told me many times, it'd be nice to follow a team for fun, instead of living and dying with a team every weekend! Maybe Ipswich- let's see how Keane does with them! ;D I still can't admit that the Magpies are likely to go down. I followed Newcastle for years when Alan Shearer was there (as a player!). In fact, when I was in England in 2005, I made a special trip to Liverpool to see the Toons play Everton. Bought a ticket from a tout for the visitor section and had the time of my life, as two Geordies tried to teach me all the songs. That being said, I don't really want to see Hull go down, either. With the Special One gone to Italy, the mantle of style in the Premier League has been picked up by Phil Brown. So... in what would be a delicious twist of fate for the black and white of Tyneside, it's got to be Sunderland taking the fall in order to keep Newcastle up. Imagine that!! So I'll go with WBA, Boro and Sunderland.

To be honest, I hope Newcastle go down just because, following a smaller club, it's always good to see a big club fail I know, I know, that's really mean but ,hey, we have to live with the 'worst club ever in the Premiership' tag. Newcastle were the only club we beat ;D ES, glad to see your lot survived. Shame Forest and the Poisoned Dwarf escaped.

So heart would choose WBA, Skunks & Mackems but I fear... ES, glad to see your lot survived. Shame Forest and the Poisoned Dwarf escaped. Thank you TC. This is the third year running we've avoided the drop. Wish they'd stop giving me palpitations, at my age. BTW, gingercat, I'm sorry your boys couldn't stick it to MU last night. One of those nights I'm afraid. Chelski 1 Barça 0 at HT! Can the Blues hold on?

Nope. ;D I hope Ballack and Drogba get fined. Terry, too. What a bunch of classless players. Sums up Chelsea, really.

So United win the league again. *sigh* Which means we're guaranteed yet another year of Sir Alex, since there's no way he'll retire with the record of 19 titles within his grasp. And cue the summer-long Fake Ronaldo/Real Madrid melodrama. Yay.

And cue the summer-long Fake Ronaldo/Real Madrid melodrama. Yay. I know. It's terribly tedious, isn't it? Every year we get Sir Alex goading rival managers. As for Ronaldo, I will never forgive the way he tried to get Rooney - a fellow MU team mate - sent off when Portugal were playing England. I just want to slap his petulant face.... I realise we have Arsenal and Liverpool supporters on here - so will duck swiftly - but I just wish they'd go ahead and create a super league for Liverpool, Chelsea, MU and Arsenal and let everyone else play on a level playing field. It's just so boring that every single time Match of The Day or whoever televise a live match, you can bet it involves one of those 4 clubs as the main feature.

I can't believe how the Man United supporters are willing to roll over for Ronaldo. He's making a mockery of their club, their players and their manager. As much as I dislike him, can you imagine the Ferguson of 10 years ago excusing such ridiculous behavior from a player? And, don't be so quick to duck. Obviously, the title race was my priority, but aside from that, I find everything outside of the Top 4 much more interesting than the tedium within it. I watched the Leeds/Millwall playoff semi-final last week and it was nice to see supporters that cared and sang throughout the match, instead of just waving their plastic flags and booing their players off at halftime. We don't have any Chelsea supporters here, do we?

And, don't be so quick to duck. Phew. Of the top 4, I do prefer Liverpool ;D it was nice to see supporters that cared and sang throughout the match, instead of just waving their plastic flags and booing their players off at halftime. Whilst I was mildly amused that West Brom were relegated (they gave The Rams terrible stick last season and claimed they wouldn't come straight back down) but their fans were amazing, cheering their manager and players. We don't have any Chelsea supporters here, do we? Nah.

I agree, top- there is something quite redundant about the top 4 always being, well, the top 4. I think a salary cap needs to be brought into the league. That way, it doesn't prevent the money men from spending their money in stupid amounts (£30million for Berbatov? ), but if there's a monetary penalty for going over the cap, then that money can be allocated to all the teams that stay under the cap amount. It won't level out the playing field entirely, but it would give a lot of these financially strapped teams something more to work with. Looks like the Toon season will come down to the very last day! Eeek!

I think I'm still in a state of shock about Newcastle going down. On one hand, it might be the best thing for them in the long run; maybe they can burn the team list and start building from the ground up. On the other hand, it's a bit shocking- 20 years in the EPL since their last relegation, and never relegated since the inception of the Premier League. And I'm none too pleased about Phil Brown's karoake celebration today after LOSING to Manchester United, but finding out that Newcastle had lost, ensuring Hull stayed up. I understand how thrilled he must be, being able to keep the team up after their first season (since most thought they would just go right back down into the Championship), but come on. Your team had what? - one win in the last 22 matches. You were coasting on an early season strong start since December, my friend. I've supported your team and even excused your embarrassing "team talk on the pitch at half time" tactic. But that was too much. Funny enough, it was not pointed out by Sir Alex that it might have been a wee bit disrespectful to Newcastle's manager, Alan Shearer. Guess that only applies when it's a foreign manager making a gesture that had absolutely nothing to do with the accusation thrown at him. (See: Rafa Benitez and the "it's over" gesture he allegedly made during Liverpool's win over Blackburn. ) Finally, let me just say, Go Barcelona!

Finally, let me just say, Go Barcelona! Oooh, it's a tough one because I usually go for the English club, whoever it is. Can't help it. But I think my hatred of Ronaldo will win through...... I think a salary cap needs to be brought into the league. I think they need to go back to the restriction on foreign players in a squad. For no other reason than I truly believe it has an adverse effect on the standard of our national team.

RomanMachine and I have tickets to see Zinedine Zidane's charity football match in Toronto in two weeks, and we've been pondering what footie shirts to wear. Now, most likely everyone will be wearing a France shirt or an AC Milan one (Maldini will be there, too), but we thought about maybe doing something different and getting footie-related t-shirts. RM's thinking about this one. I'm thinking about this one. (We tease because we love you, topcat! ;D)

Exactly. Who hasn't scored against DCFC (We tease because we love you, topcat! ;D) Aahhhh. Bless. £80 million for Ronaldo? It's obscene.
