We meant to post this earlier, but we were waiting to get a response from Mandana's new management. We didn't have to wait long- one day! ;D Her new management is Cassius Management (though she's not listed on their website as of yet.) Got an e-mail from the agency today which included word that Mandana has started auditioning. No word on anything more concrete yet, of course, but we're hoping they've kept our email addy.

Excellent news. Lets hope it's the start of something worthwhile for Mandana. Just the fact that she's changed agents suggests her intention to find better work. I always felt that, whilst CAM has a lot of 'names' on their books, most are known purely for working in soaps and that is, basically, all Mandana has done in recent years. Also, they have so many clients, I doubt there is much of a personal touch. The new management appear to be far more media savvy - twitter, facebook, full biographies of clients. Hopefully, this now means that ALL fans will know when she has new work and in a timely fashion. Maybe they've told her it's about time she got a new photo Congrats on getting a reply!

What gives me a chuckle is the fact that a self-proclaimed techno dinosaur has chosen a management company that seems to be extemely internet savvy. ;D

Here is her page....old photo though I noticed it was ...cough.....the same photo, gingercat. The 'about' section is a tad scant. Let's hope that is expanded. Surely, it just needs to be what would go in a theatre programme biography type thing? I notice the roles bit isn't completely up to date as Casualty isn't listed and some of her smaller theatre roles are missing. This is definately the same as the Spotlight entry that got posted about 10 years ago on the old Larkhall Insider except I don't recall that mentioning a motorcycle licence Any roles out there that require a Farsi speaking dispatch rider who can meditate whilst scuba diving?

E-Mail has been sent to the agent, so we'll see what happens. Thanks for the info, gingercat!

Must admit that I am a little disappointed that Mandana's 'media savvy' new agents have still not uploaded either a biography or a showreel for Mandana.
Their tweets and facebook announcements also seem to be, on the whole, generic industry announcements with only the occasional plug for one of their clients.
Am I being impatient?

Haven't heard a peep from them, either. Wonder if I should submit some stuff to them?

I don't think it is just Mandana. If you look at a number of the....how shall I word it?....more senior looking actors, there is scant info. Many say 'coming soon' in respect of showreels. One says he signed in Dec 10 and there is still no biography or showreel The young pups all seem to have showreels and biographies but, due to age, little content beyond drama school work . Let's just hope new work is iminent to distract us

The bio has landed.
"Born in London, to a Welsh father and an Iranian mother, Mandana studied at the Drama Centre before embarking on a hugely successful acting career. Boasting a number of high-profile roles in some of the country's best loved soaps and dramas, Mandana is an extremely talented and experienced actress. Her television work includes regular roles in ITV regional soap 'London Bridge', popular BBC daytime soap 'Doctors', award-winning ITV drama 'Bad Girls' and BBC children's show 'Powers'. Having taken some time out following the birth of her son, Mandana has returned and is now looking to pick up where she left off"
Nothing especially new but it does confirm that it was a conscious decision to take a career break to be a Mother.

Rather alarmingly, Cassius Management appear to have ditched all their actor clients The tab on the toolbar has gone and, if you find an actor link via google, it comes up that the page does not exist, including Mandana's. I have been a little disappointed that most of their news announcements seem to be solely about their 'media' clients or sports stars. Could it be that they've decided to concentrate on only those clients? On the other hand, I suppose they could just be doing an update of the actor section. Just read, on a guestbook out there in cyber space , that a fan spotted Mandana at Legoland with Enzo on Saturday (17th) but was too embarassed to say 'hello'. What a shame. She was in the 'laser raider' shop. Lol

I think they've lumped it all in the Media division only because I recall the names Stuart Manning and Alex Winters were from actors division. Maybe Mandana's next sighting will be when she takes Enzo to see the 3D movie of Postman Pat. ;D

I think they've lumped it all in the Media division only because I recall the names Stuart Manning and Alex Winters were from actors division. Don't think so jilly. You are right that Stuart Manning was definately in the actor section but Alex Winter has always been in the media section because, whilst having acting credits, he works mainly as a presenter on children's tv. Not one of the other actors is listed now. The flash banner has also changed and no longer has anyone from acting. Also, in the Spotlight directory, Mandana's agent name has changed THREE times in as many months. First, it was a guy. Then it was someone called Sam. It now says it's someone called Laura. Their ethos is supposedly giving their clients the 'personal touch'. Doesn't seem very personal to me. I wondered whether they were finally uploading all the showreels that have said 'coming soon' for 6 months and maybe that was the reason everyone is missing but then why is Stuart Manning listed in Media but no other actor? All very strange.....and disappointing.
