I think they've lumped it all in the Media division only because I recall the names Stuart Manning and Alex Winters were from actors division. Don't think so jilly. You are right that Stuart Manning was definately in the actor section but Alex Winter has always been in the media section because, whilst having acting credits, he works mainly as a presenter on children's tv. Not one of the other actors is listed now. The flash banner has also changed and no longer has anyone from acting. Also, in the Spotlight directory, Mandana's agent name has changed THREE times in as many months. First, it was a guy. Then it was someone called Sam. It now says it's someone called Laura. Their ethos is supposedly giving their clients the 'personal touch'. Doesn't seem very personal to me. I wondered whether they were finally uploading all the showreels that have said 'coming soon' for 6 months and maybe that was the reason everyone is missing but then why is Stuart Manning listed in Media but no other actor? All very strange.....and disappointing. The whole thing is very slapdash. Why go thru all the trouble of putting up the actors bios and then without any notice just take down the whole section. This is all speculation on my part.... Looks like now Mandana has to find a new agent/booking agent. That means more delay in her getting any work. It's almost 10 months since we last saw her on TV. I wonder why she changed her booking agency the last time.

Rather alarmingly, Cassius Management appear to have ditched all their actor clients On the other hand, I suppose they could just be doing an update of the actor section. This sounds reasonable to me. Alternate scenario is chucking all those actors they've signed up. But then why not put a note saying doing some housekeeping/ changes in the Actors division and will be back after a few days? ;D

All very strange.....and disappointing. It is very strange, because what are all these actors going to do now if Cassius has backed out of management? Particularly actors like Mandana who appear to have left their old management to go to a younger (more promising?) firm? What's she to do now? Go back to CAM? Or more likely, be forced to find a new firm? (This is all based on the assumption that Cassius HAS eliminated their representation of actors. I don't know if this is true.) Very, very odd indeed.

Just read, on a guestbook out there in cyber space , that a fan spotted Mandana at Legoland with Enzo on Saturday (17th) but was too embarassed to say 'hello'. What a shame. She was in the 'laser raider' shop. Lol I noticed the fan has also posted on the Messages to Mandana thread. Only 11 views! It's a case of being pushed down by too many barking posts!! Mods gone fishing.

I noticed the fan has also posted on the Messages to Mandana thread. Only 11 views! It's a case of being pushed down by too many barking posts!! Mods gone fishing. Barking is about right, jilly. I doubt anyone has noticed that post as it has been buried by the daily ramblings of love and devotion. Can you imagine what Mandana would think, reading all that nonesense??? Doubt the mods have gone fishing. They didn't even make an effort when Mandana last appeared on TV and so I can't imagine that post will have created much reaction. It's a shame OperaGoth hasn't found this site. At least we would be interested. Still no change to Cassius and no explaination as to where all their actors have gone.

Two weeks now and still no sign of actors on their website. Their blurb still says that they represent 'media, sport and entertainment clients' but their toolbar only reflects the first two. Not one of their news bulletin's has been about an actor.
It will be interesting to see what the new entry will be for Mandana on Spotlight. The 11/12 actress directory is due out next week.
I was wondering about this. The posts referred to are getting increasingly more personal and desperate sounding. They appear to be receiving either no moderation or the powers that be just don't care. Just out of interest, how would you feel/deal with that situation if it were happening over here? Would it be a case of ignoring or gentle moderation or complete clamp down?

Top, when the new info on her entry comes out, can you let me know? I'll see if I can contact someone then to see what's happening.
I think gentle moderation would be our initial response. An e-mail to the poster to let them know that we do not have access to Mandana, and there has been no indication to us that she has visited the board* would be the first step. I think if you make that clear, suggesting the poster doesn't make personal requests or post directly to Mandana wouldn't sound so out of the blue. But ultimately, if the poster continued, I'd give them one warning, then edit/delete their posts thereafter. (I wouldn't ban them, because it's just too easy to re-join under a different name.)
I think part of the issue that board is having with this poster is due to their presentation of being BFF with Mandana. Whenever there's a hint of doubt, we specify that we do NOT know Mandana, that we do NOT have any sort of access to her. It's certainly opposite to what the other web owners do. That's come round to bite them in the ass with this poster... not that they seem to care.

Regarding moderation splodgy play favourites.
Either it(moderation) is gentle or heavy-handed, I should know.
My last post about the discussion of Mandana's role in Casualty
was deleted because it was "spam" and "posts will be monitored".
Very spiteful.

That's come round to bite them in the ass with this poster... not that they seem to care. The posts are getting more and more deranged and personal. New threads on a daily, sometimes twice daily basis. It must put new posters off, surely? I notice that 'operagoth' has bumped their post about legoland and commented on the looney tune poster. No doubt operagoth with get a hand slap for criticising a regular Shame we can't point operagoth in this direction. At least we would be interested to hear about her legoland experience. Actually, I just need to know whether Mandana has lost the plot with her hair or has lousy taste in head gear

Well Operagoth is here thanks to a kind invite! Thanks for the support everyone - the poster on that other board freaks me out, so god knows what poor Mandana would think if she ever read the posts! Seeing her at Legoland was one of the most amazing days of my life, even if I never did get to actually speak to her! Honestly none of the pics I posted ( mybuxtonblog.blogspot.com ) even come close to capturing her real beauty! Really annoyed with myself for not saying 'hi' to her, but I honestly turned completely to jelly in her presence and it took me 3 minutes just to explain to my hubby why I was hyperventilating, let alone be able to actually talk to her! I can post the story of my 'encounter' if anyone is really interested - I know my hubby is sick to death of me going on about it and gazing lovingly at my copy of her ride photo! Lol.

Oh and I look forward to becoming an active member of this board and look forward to 'WADEing' (see what I've done there? Couldn't resist the corny joke) through all the previous posts.
Oh and a message for 'topcat'; Yes it is her hair. Lol, but it looks better in RL than in the pics which, as I said, dont do her justice at all!

Hey, welcome to the board! Hope you don't mind me posting the link to your blog. topcat, who is our resident finder of all things Mandana, discovered it and sent the info our way. Please, please, do tell us about the encounter! We can squee about her with the best of them; we just haven't had much lately to give us reason to do so. And tell your hubby he has the admiration of everyone here.

Ok, well here is the story of my encounter with the woman of all of our dreams! (Have tried to make it sound dramatic and exciting while sticking to the truth of what was really quite a brief experience.) I was at Legoland enjoying a day out with my hubby and 2 year old son when it started to drizzle so we went into the entrance of the lazier raiders shop to get a bit of shelter. While we were waiting there a woman and child walked past so close to us that the woman's sleeve literally brushed my arm. I looked at her and thought to myself 'my god she looks just like Mandana' but naturally didn't really think much of it at first. Then I heard her say "Enzo, don't go too far off as I have the pass" (or words to that effect.) It was then that my heart started beating like the clappers, my legs turned to jelly and I lost all power of cohearent speech. It had to be Mandana, who else would look exactly like her, sound exactly like her and have a son called Enzo to boot!? I was frozen to the spot, totally aghast and in awe, with the only audible sound I was able to make being a mixture of squee's and Oh my God's! When I eventually got some semblance of control over myself and had managed to squeak out to hubby what the matter was, I followed her into the shop, fully intending to say hi, declare my admiration, and ask for a photo and autograph. Trouble was, that when I got within a couple of meters of her I just turned to jelly again! My poor hubby then had to wait ages with me by the lazer raiders photo shop so that I could see her photo and maybe pluck up the courage to speak to her when she got off the ride. Well, I bought the ride photo, but as my son was getting restless, left before she got back to the shop. I did manage to get a couple of pics of her in the background of some of my son on a Lego camel and a couple of her watching the pirate show, ( which we had already seen so hubby wouldn't let me go see it again so I could stand next to her and have an excuse to strike up conversation - he just doesn't understand!) but no other chance to actually speak to her. For the rest of the day I was on tenterhooks looking out for her and praying she would be near us in a queue, but alas it wasn't to be and I didn't see her again. Of course I am now totally kicking myself for not speaking to her, even if it would have just been a string of gobeldy-gook. Plus my poor hubby is sick of me going on about it, especially when I went back to Legoland on sat and couldn't help sighing when I got to the spot where she brushed past my arm. My ride keyring with her on takes pride of place with my keys and I look at it whenever I feel down and, despite hubby's protests I will always keep a slight lookout for her at Legoland from now on just in case! Well that's my story of my biggest missed opportunity ever but I'm still on cloud nine whenever I think of it as I try to take the grounds of 'she probably would prefer to have an undisturbed day with Enzo anyway and not have a crazy fan swooning over her'. Lol. Am I obsessed? Maybe, but I don't care, Mandana is gorgeous in all senses of the word so who wouldn't be!?

Well Operagoth is here thanks to a kind invite! Pleasure I've now got visions of Mandana scouring for her photo and not being able to find it ;D Really? Please say it isn't so! How many colours is it? All I can think is that it's for a part. Or it's a disguise that isn't very effective. Or she was after a role in the pirate show... Thank you for telling us about your encounter. Like you, I think I would have been inclined to leave her to her day out and then kicked myself afterwards. There are those who would have gone up and then stalked her home, I am sure. As an aside, I was actually interested in your blog about Buxton G & S experience because many of my friends and relatives have performed there and won awards. I'm not a fan of G & S myself (just standard musicals) but Mr Topcat was born into it. Welcome to the board and there are loads of threads where you can discuss all things Mandana!

It was just the two colours - her fringe was the only lighter bit. (well there were bits of grey but.. ) Honestly it actually look quite nice in RL.
