;D ;D ;D Thanks for the direct link to the 3rd advert. I couldn't see it on that site before. Sorry, I wasn't trying to be facetious. Here's the screen shot I saw of Mandana in the car looking at the driver and it looks like she's talking. Didn't remember where I'd seen it but yeah, it was on the blue site. Does it not look like she's talking? Or is that from an advert we've already seen? It doesn't seem that way to me, maybe there are more?

Just replying to previous posts. I think mjnet get a lot of things wrong. For instance on SLNET they state that Wire in the Blood, Series 4 first aired Sept. 20 2006, when in fact it first aired in Australia on Aug 11 2006.

As far as I know, we're the only site to have advertised a link to the third advert. I've yet to see any mention of it on the blue site or anywhere else. Topcat posted a LINK when the news first broke about the Green Flag adverts. If you look at that article, that's where (we suspect) the "talking" picture was found in the first place. No word exactly on how many adverts were filmed- we shared emails with Philippa Naylor, the PR rep for Green Flag, and she told us there was only one advert being used. Now, as we wondered when we first posted the email info, does that simply mean there is only one being used ON TV right now? Because it's quite obvious that there are at least THREE adverts! And if the promo pic is to be taken into consideration, there are FOUR. But rest assured, we've got our best people on the job (*grin*) so if there ends up being more available for viewing down the road, we'll definitely let you know. As for the date mistake regarding WitB, only the UK matters!

Sorry, didn't mean to imply that pic was connected to a 3rd or 4th advert. Just saying that I had seen it somewhere (as it turns out on the blue site) and when I'd first saw it, I kept expecting Mandana to be talking in one of these adverts, which hasn't been the case as yet. So I'm hoping there's at least one more! I appreciate all the hard work put into this

Yeah, despite the fact that we were told there was only one advert being used, we know there have been at least three adverts FILMED. I mean, we've got two of them and Green Flag themselves have the third one, so... The fact that she is quite obviously talking in the promo pic (or in the very least, MOUTHING something!) certainly does imply there is at least one other advert filmed. Whether it is shown or not will be the question. (And I share your feeling- every time we find out there's another one available to view, I keep expecting her to be talking!)

I thought this was really odd, because what's the point of a Q&A if not to ask the stars questions? They could have said they didn't know. They finally did say that but only after I had questioned them privately and it took a whole month in all to answer on the board.... I took this experience to mean they don't have Mandana's nbr on their speed dial or whatever, and that they were just guessing at what they think they know, reluctant to admit they don't know as much as they make you think they know. nikkhele I agree that the whole Q & A was strange. Especially as fans have been slapped down for asking 'private' questions before. Now it doesn't take rocket science to conclude that if you set up a Q & A about a celebrity that fans will ask personal stuff! Of course people were going to ask about her partner and such It's human nosey nature. So if you start a Q & A surely it is because said celebrity is happy to answer the questions and you can answer on their behalf. If not and you are only speculating/making assumptions from info that is actually out there in old interviews you should admit it and not try and pretend you do know but aren't telling. It is that very attitude that causes bad feeling. As for inaccuracies there are loads of assumptions parading as fact especially in the biography section. Another glaring error is a statement as fact about BG character backgrounds. It is claimed that Nikki's brother is called David. He was never even mentioned in the show and in the book that came out he is purely mentioned as a solicitor. No name was listed. The name David is a complete myth and probably came out of some fanfic somewhere.

American actor, Robert Patrick, had a Q&A section on his fan site (before he ended the partnership with the webmaster) that his publicist would choose from every month and pass the questions on to him. It was so cool, because you felt you got to know him a bit more and that he was aware of his fans and wanted to give them a bit back.
Not to really jump on CAM, as I don't know the ins and outs of their agency nor the volume of actors they deal with, but I wish they would take a more hands-on approach to Mandana's career. In the very least, realize that in this day and age, you need to use the internet to establish a foundation for your client. Be pro-active. Set up an official website and pay someone to maintain it. Hell, the majority of working class actors (as opposed to "stars") have their fan sites run by fans! That way it's cheap (most fans would be happy to do it for a pittance and you just pay for the server... which contrary to what other sites might tell you, is not £50 a month!) and you've got someone who's invested in it. And most importantly, keep an open line of communication between the web site and the publicist, or the agent or whatever. It doesn't have to be every day or every week. Establishing something like a Q&A just once a month goes such a long way to making a fan feel part of things.
Think about it- if mj.net didn't harrass CAM the way they do, and if we didn't work hard to find the information on the 'net the way we do, how would we ever find out anything about her? I understand that Mandana might want to maintain a level of personal privacy, but just in terms of her professional life, why isn't her agency getting the word out about her? It's a real shame.

I think maybe Mandana would need to change her name to Ray Winston and then CAM would fawn all over her Have you seen just how many references to that one actor there is on CAM's site? They may claim to have 100's of clients but it is clear that some are more special than others. Anyway, blue is now admitting to having no knowledge of private life and no knowledge of reasons for frequenting Spain and the tone of the posts has changed dramatically. I hope this new found respect for the common fan continues.

Hey...I did not see anything on CAM site. Perhaps I got the site wrong. Can you post a link?
It is interesting to speculate about whether or not or representation is doing her justice. I also wonder if she really does not want to work as much. She does not strike me as someone overly ambitious. She strikes me as a person interested in doing roles that call to her without regard to subject. Mandana also seems like a person more interested in living life than being part of the crush of celebrity and all that goes with it. Just speculation. I just don't think she gives a toss about pursuing with all do speed acting.

I agree with the first part of this, but not the last part. I don't think she took the role in EastEnders because she was called to the part, to be honest. The same with the Direct Line adverts and even the Green Flag ones. I think she's a working class actor who has bills to pay and sometimes you have to take what you have to take. That being said, no, I don't think she's overly ambitious. I think she takes what she's offered, but probably doesn't pro-actively go out looking for it. Maybe that's why CAM doesn't seem to bother. It's too bad, because part of the appeal Mandana has for me is a certain feeling of "she's just one of us". As opposed to say, being a fan of Brad Pitt or Madonna, where there is such a distinctive line between you and them- the appeal is then in the idea that they represent something society seems to think we need to aspire to (money, wealth, fame). I have nothing in common with them; they're so far removed from what my life is that I have a hard time visualizing them as real people, truth be told. But I do find, despite differences in our ages, our cultural backgrounds and our height (*grin*), that Mandana and I have something in common in our viewpoint of many subjects. I think if the agency took a more pro-active approach towards fostering that connection (which I believe a lot of fans have), it could only be a good thing. Then again, perhaps they feel that the MJ fans are already there and that, with MJ's lack of desire to move her career to something broader, there's no need to cultivate new fans. I don't know.

Yes, I agree she takes commercials and some jobs "to pay the bills". I overspoke on that part of my comments. I do believe that she does tend to try to take roles that stretch her when she can however. My main point was she is not actively pushing her career. I am with you CB that IS part of her appeal. The total package. She is gorgeous, her interview answers are real and honest, she drawers you in when she is acting, and she takes it all with a grain of salt. Down to earth. Lovely.

the tone of the posts has changed dramatically. I hope this new found respect for the common fan continues. I know it's bad form to quote myself but I notice that for some very strange reason the original fan friendly response to the boyfriend query that appeared in the blue zone has been edited. It is now blunt and superior again. Why edit it when the thread had been closed anyway?? It's more like lots of links and references to his production company and the work that company is doing. Basically, the big wig of CAM seems to also be part of Ray's production company.

I guess all dreams have to end at some point, top. I admit, that is really odd. Hey, maybe in their weekly talks with Mandana, she told them she wasn't thrilled with their friendly manner! That's probably why they keep forgetting to ask her about the Green Flag advert where it looks like she's speaking. I'm still waiting for them to explain that one as promised.

Re the blue splodge site.
Why of why would you use THAT photo on your front page??
I think that photo taken during the SA tour, where Mandana, Lara and Simone were clearly made up to look like drag queens by an over zealous make up person, is probably the worst photo of Mandana I have ever seen.
Sorry but it is awful.

You know what? I didn't notice it (and when I did, I was confused by the BLUE flowers that I thought were part of the shirt she was wearing). I was too overcome with joy by the fact that there seems to be only ONE advert on the page! (Down from FOUR, if I'm not mistaken.) No PayPal button?? Oh, my.
